The National Environmental Protection Fund chose, in an open tender procedure, the consortium of Infovide-Matrix and Asseco Poland to upgrade their SAP system.

The National Environmental Protection Fund chose, in an open tender procedure, the consortium of Infovide-Matrix and Asseco Poland to upgrade their SAP system. This project will also include the installation of SAP portal infrastructure and data warehouse.

The consortium led by Infovide-Matrix submitted the best price offer and demonstrated all necessary references. Having combined their professional competence, both the companies managed to satisfy the customer's high requirements under this tender.

"We are very satisfied of winning the tender and a possibility to implement this project. I believe that cooperation between Infovide-Matrix and Asseco Poland will bring real benefits for the National Environmental Protection Fund, while it will also help improve operating processes performed by this institution," said Przemysław Kosek, Director at Infovide-Matrix S.A.

The National Environmental Protection Fund is engaged in the financing (from domestic and European funds) of development and modernization of environmental protection infrastructure as well as in the implementation of pro-ecological projects. IT solutions used by the Fund are critical for the effective performance of these tasks.

The National Environmental Protection Fund decided to upgrade its SAP system from version 4.6c to version 6.04 due to the expiring technical support periods and also in order to reduce IT maintenance costs. Under the project, the contractors will also prepare an innovative IT environment for the needs of future implementations, including the functionalities of managerial self-servicing and reporting from the data warehouse.

"The project will cover all the system modules used by the Fund and shall provide a good opportunity to analyze and streamline all the handled processes. An important part of the project will be to supply new IT infrastructure that will ensure both stable and efficient operation of the system," commented Katarzyna Bielazik, Sales Director at w Asseco Poland S.A.

"It is a quite difficult project for our institution and concurrently one of those few key proje

cts closely supervised by our management. So far we are very pleased with the commitment and quality of work performed by the contractors as well as with overall level of cooperation," said Włodzimierz Hrymniak, Vice Office Director and Upgrade Project Manager at the National Environmental Protection Fund.

As part of the project executed for the National Environmental Protection Fund, apart from upgrading the SAP system version, Asseco will also install and launch SAP Portal environment and supply hardware and virtualization tools, while Infovide-Matrix is going to deploy SAP Data Warehouse. The project completion (including the upgrade technical support period) is expected in December 2012.
