Step by step to existence of network information and maps with SAMO from Asseco

ENNI goes live with online portal for existence of network information and maps.

The energy supplier ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH digitizes its existence of network information based on portal solution SAMO from Asseco. In its Online portal for existence of network information and maps, ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH offers free and fast information on its supply facilities and networks in the gas, water, communication, electricity and district heating sectors in its concession areas.

The implementation of SAMO enabled ENNI to continue its comprehensive concept for digitization.“ Ingo Blank, Technical Management, Asset Management, ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH

Better user experience through digitization and automation

In the case of earthworks or construction measures on public and/or private land, the person responsible for the work must obtain up-to-date information about the existence and location of the supply facilities and networks present in the construction site area before he is allowed to start the construction works. In this way, he fulfils his duty of care, in particular his duty of investigation and security.

Construction companies, architects, planners, authorities, fire brigade and property owners can now obtain information about the location of supply facilities and networks in Neukirchen-Vluyn and Moers in the Existence of network information and maps portal of ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH with just a few clicks in 24/7 mode.

Only a few clicks to the existence of network information

After a one-off registration in the portal for existence of network information and maps (https://technik.enni.de/), the applicants receive information about the area of inquiry in only six steps.

First the applicant fills in his contact information in the online portal. Then he specifies the reason for the request (construction measure, planning or disruption), the priority as well as the address and type of project. Afterwards he creates the request area in the map window. If documents are needed to specify the request, such as detailed plans of the measure, justifications or technical descriptions, they can be uploaded into the online portal.

In the last step, the applicant receives a summary of the information he has entered. After sending the application, the applicant can download all inventory plans showing the supply facilities and network elements in the selected area, as well as other documents, such as cover letters, explanations of symbology and information leaflets for construction experts.

SAMO – legally compliant and efficient

The existence of network information exclusively extends to the spatial request area marked by the applicant and in this case exclusively to the supply facilities and lines of ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH. It does not extend to other sectors or to lines of other network operators. The applicant must inform himself separately about the locations of supply facilities and lines of other grid operators.

In a few cases, such as restricted areas, which are under construction in the backend GIS, and obviously taken into account in the existence of network information, the result can only be provided after it was individually processed instead of automatically. In those cases, ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH personally contacts the applicant and prepares an individual existence of network information and maps.

Reduction of the processing time of requests with SAMO

With regards to the portal solution SAMO from Asseco, ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH was able to digitize and automate its existence of network information. The processing time of the requests was significantly reduced using SAMO by significantly improving the customer service at the same time due to the high user-friendliness of the online portal. Another helpful result of using the portal is the automatically generated overview of all requests in the backend GIS, where all requested areas are registered as objects.

With SAMO we can provide the line information to our customers much faster.“ Ingo Blank, Technical Management, Asset Management, ENNI Energie & Umwelt Niederrhein GmbH
