We’re unlocking Polish potential

Asseco partnered Kongres 590, which became the economic center of Poland on 17 and 18 November. The conference was held at the Exhibition and Congress Centre in Jasionka, under the banner ‘Unlocking Polish Industry’. Representatives from the world of politics and business were among the attendees, including President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Beata Szydło, and Adam Góral. CEO of Asseco participated in the discussion which took place shortly after Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the ‘Constitution for Business’.

Adam Góral: The ‘Constitution for Business’ is a package of laws which has been expected by the Polish entrepreneurs community for quite some time. The presumption of entrepreneur’s honesty, friendly reading of the law, and resolving factual doubts in favor of entrepreneurs are among the things all organizations fought for, including the Podkarpacki Business Club represented by me, across the past 27 years.

CEO of Asseco also took part in the discussion on unlocking foreign markets for Polish manufacturers. Together with CEO of PESA S.A Tomasz Żaboklicki and Karol Zarajczyk – President of the Board of Ursus S.A. – Góral talked about the ways to open the doors to foreign markets for Polish manufacturers, as well as how Polish government can co-operate with businesses to secure foreign contracts for Polish entrepreneurs.

In his speech Góral also encouraged paying taxes in Poland and thanked all the participants for coming to the Podkarpacie province, which – thanks to its hard work, patience and the ability to utilize EU funds – has taken advantage of the 27 years of economic freedom.

This was the first edition of Kongres 590 and it was visited by more than two thousand guests. The conference took its name from the barcode prefix which is used to mark goods produced or distributed by Polish companies.
