Revenue Protection System supporting telecommunications and teletransmission service providers that analyze traffic data in order to detect potential irregularities related to telecommunications service usage. It can cooperate with any billing system. FRED®’s main component is the FMS (Fraud Management System), designed for detecting errors and abuse in subscriber and inter-operator traffic.
The FRED® Revenue Protection System is a state-of-the-art product supporting telecommunications and teletransmission service providers that analyze traffic data in order to detect potential irregularities related to telecommunications service usage. The system’s main task is to secure the service provider’s revenues, and protect its key customers. FRED® is a best in class solution for telecommunications carriers. It can cooperate with any billing system.
Benefits of implementation
|Lower losses due to errors and fraud.||Increased customer satisfaction – lower churn.||Increased analyst productiveness – faster, more accurate decisions for efficient incident management.|
|Fast and constant access to information on customers and network events.||Lower deployment costs – possibility to integrate the system with other carrier’s systems, without the need to change anything is such systems.||Investment security – FRED® is open for new services, technologies and data sources.|
Core system functionalities
monitoring of incoming and outgoing traffic at the level of individual numbers and their collections (e.g. subscriber accounts)
classifying subscribers (natural customer segmentation based on their telephone activities)
rule-based incident detection (such as exceeded credit limits, exceeded average values, dialer calls, frequent and short dial-in connections, significant changes in the traffic structure, etc.)
detecting and alerting on call routes that generate profit below a certain threshold (or loss), as well as on detecting and alerting on traffic changes and balancing (inter-operator traffic)
identifying optimum call routes and service prices based on InterConnect tariffs and traffic efficiency
validating subscriber billing and inter-carrier settlements
Aside from the system’s main purpose, it also offers a number of additional functionalities that allow carriers to better use all the date collected by the system. These functionalities are delivered as additional modules that can be tailored to the requirements of a specific deployment.
Subscriber Information Module – allows users to verify the identity of a specific subscriber
Data Analysis and Visualization Module – ensures graphical presentation of data associated with a specific subscriber (e.g. list of calls by day, subsequent connection records, comparison of the subscriber’s activity periods, etc.)
Reporting Module – ensures report generation using data stored in FRED®
