Adam Góral honored with the 30th Anniversary Award of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT)

The founder of the Asseco Group has been awarded for his contribution to the development of the ICT industry in Poland. Asseco is the leader of digitization in Poland and the largest IT company in the Central and Eastern European region. For more than 30 years it has been creating technologically advanced software for companies in key sectors of the economy.

Adam Góral believed that the future of IT was software. In the first years of his business, he focused on intensive development in Poland, the turning point of which was Asseco Poland's IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) in 2004. This helped him to raise capital that enabled the company to grow further and expand abroad. It is how the project of building the Asseco Group began - an international federation of companies, an alternative to large IT corporations.

Team strength

As Adam Góral stated when receiving the award granted by the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT), what Asseco achieved was greatly affected by the entire team, who, like him, believed that the chosen course of action was the key to success, which is why, in his opinion, this award is for all the company's employees.

Asseco's CEO continues to consistently develop the Group, proving the uniqueness of Polish solutions and IT experts on a global scale. Today, Asseco is present in more than 60 countries around the world and employs nearly 33,000 people. It has been growing organically as well as through acquisitions, of which it has made more than 130 since 2004. Asseco companies are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Adam Góral has managed to create a stable company that has been creating value for its shareholders for years. In 2022, the Asseco Group's revenues reached PLN 17.4 billion, 90% of which came from international operations. In turn, operating profit for the period amounted to PLN 1.8 billion.

30th Anniversary Award

PIIT has been awarding its prize for many years, the purpose of which is to identify and recognize outstanding experts who have made a special contribution to the development of the ICT environment in Poland. This year, on the occasion of the jubilee of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications, a special award was granted - the 30th Anniversary Award of PIIT.
