Another Prowincial Hospital chooses Asseco's system

Asseco Poland has signed an agreement with the Provincial Specialist Hospital No. 4 in Bytom within the framework of the project called “Ensuring the development of electronic public services through the purchase and implementation of the information system”. The contract is worth nearly PLN 4.4 million (gross). It will be carried out in a consortium with Netology firm.

Under the contract, the Provincial Specialist Hospital No. 4 in Bytom will be equipped with new computer hardware. The hospital will be provided with wireless Internet access for its patients. However, the key element of the project will be to implement AMMS (Asseco Medical Management Solutions), an integrated system allowing for comprehensive management of a medical facility. The hospital will also acquire the ResQmed’s digital imaging software for radiology.

“We are planning to implement 19 functional modules of AMMS at the Provincial Hospital in Bytom. They will support various areas of hospital operations, including patient admissions and discharges, pharmacy and ward medicine dispensaries, outpatient clinic and diagnostic laboratories, just to mention a few. Computerization of these activities will enable the creation of electronic medical records in compliance with the new regulations which will come into force in the middle of 2017. The system will automatically retrieve patient data and enable the generation of appropriate documentation, e.g. information sheets, certificates or prescriptions,” said Dagmara Krzywicka, Sales Manager at Asseco Poland.

A significant advantage of this solution is the ability to fully integrate the AMMS system modules that are used in the hospital’s medical and administrative departments. In addition, the included Business Intelligence tool will allow for generation of relevant reports and statements in order to facilitate the monitoring of settlements with the National Healthcare Fund and support the implementation of the hospital’s budget through effective cost control.

Moreover, Asseco will provide the hospital employees with an e-learning platform to teach them, in a modern and convenient way, how to operate the individual IT modules supplied as part of the project.

Asseco Poland is a leading provider of information systems for the healthcare sector. The company’s clients include 450 largest hospitals as well as most of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy Centers operating in Poland, to whom Asseco delivers IT solutions to support their patient services, contract settlements, and facility management.
