Asseco establishes cooperation with more hospitals in Lower Silesia

Asseco Poland is implementing computerization projects for the consortia of medical facilities located in the municipalities of Zgorzelec, Bolesławiec and Kłodzko. In addition, the company is engaged in projects at the hospitals in Świdnica (SP ZOZ) and in Wrocław (Dolnośląski Szpital Specjalistyczny im. T. Marciniaka). Asseco is going to deploy its proprietary AMMS at all of the above-mentioned centers. The implementation projects carried out at medical institutions of Lower Silesia are worth more than PLN 6.5 million gross.

The hospitals in Zgorzelec and Kłodzko (acting as the leaders of their consortia of local medical centers) as well as the hospitals in Świdnica and Wrocław have all chosen the Asseco Medical Management Solutions (AMMS). This comprehensive IT solution has been developed in response to the requirements of electronic medical records. It facilitates the operations of medical institutions which, being provided with easy access to patient data, can improve the quality of their services. The implementation of AMMS is an element of informatization that will enable hospitals to provide e-health services. In addition to delivering the software solution, Asseco will be also responsible for employee trainings. They will be offered to use an innovative e-learning platform in order to learn how to operate the system on a daily basis. Furthermore, within a separate budget, the medical centers in Kłodzko and Zgorzelec will be provided with modern IT equipment necessary for the successful completion of this extensive project.

“Our software has been chosen by more than 450 hospitals operating in Poland and approximately 130 of them use Asseco Medical Management Solutions,” said Jan Butkiewicz of the Healthcare Systems Division at Asseco Poland. “Entering into cooperation with other medical institutions is a signal to us that AMMS is a proven and technologically advanced system that has already won the trust of customers,” he added.

Only during the last six months, more than 30 healthcare centers decided to implement the system developed by Asseco. Among them were the hospitals in Bytom (Szpital Wojewódzki) and in Rybnik (Szpital dla Nerwowo i Psychicznie Chorych).

AMMS is a comprehensive IT solution dedicated to large and medium-sized hospitals, polyclinics, medical centers, outpatient clinics and emergency departments. The solution provides support for the hospital’s medical departments (HIS) and administrative departments (ERP). AMMS features a number of functionalities for the identification of patients, including registration of referrals with the help two-dimensional barcodes as well as retrieval of patient data from identity documents. It also enables printing and reading of doctor referrals in the encoded form. Transmission of such documents in electronic format between different medical centers reduces the time of patient registration and admission, while eliminating errors that might occur due to incorrect reading of handwriting.
