Asseco one of the largest Polish companies
Asseco was ranked 12th in the "Ranking of the 200 largest Polish companies" prepared by the editors of the Wprost weekly. In 2020, the company generated PLN 12.2 billion in sales revenues, which is 14% more than in 2019. The sales of its proprietary products and IT services increased, compared to the previous year, by 11% and amounted to PLN 9.6 billion.
The company moved up 4 places in this year's list. As the editors pointed out, the acceleration of digital transformation, caused by further restrictions due to the pandemic, provided IT companies with an opportunity for further growth.
Owing to a consistently implemented strategy and strong sector diversification, Asseco managed to achieve high profits in all of its operating segments.
We consistently pursued our strategy of strong business diversification, at the level of countries, sectors and products, said Adam Góral, President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland. We continued to focus on sales of proprietary software and provision of related services as well as on increasing the scale of our business through further acquisitions. Last year we were joined by 15 new companies, which helped reinforce our position on foreign markets, he added.
