Asseco recognized as the company of the year in WIG20 index

Asseco has been recognized by Parkiet Stock Market and Investors Newspaper, among others for its record-breaking financial results for 2014, and received the “Bull and Bear” award. This statuette is presented to the elite companies of the Polish capital market.

Parkiet, Poland’s most-read stock market daily, awarded the best companies, institutions and managers already for the 21st time. The winners were honoured with the “Bull and Bear” statuettes during the gala ceremony, which took place at the headquarters of the Warsaw Stock Exchange on 19 March 2015.

Asseco has been recognized for providing the highest annual returns to its shareholders among all of the WIG20 index participants (nearly 18 percent, including dividends) as well as for a significant improvement in its financial results, achieved primarily due to the company’s international expansion. Asseco Group closed the year 2014 with record-high revenues and improved its key financial indicators. The Group’s sales increased by over PLN 450 million or 8% year on year, to the level of PLN 6.2 billion, the highest in its history. The scale of this success is emphasized by the fact that the last year was not so favourable for investors as the WIG, Warsaw’s broad market index, gained a modest 0.3 percent.

“I am proud of all the achievements of Asseco, but I must admit there would be no Asseco without the Polish capital market, or without the Warsaw Stock Exchange,” said Adam Góral, President of Asseco Poland.

The award winners were selected by the competition jury taking into account the generated financial results as well as adhering to the highest corporate governance standards.
