On 8 May 2014, Asseco Poland has signed an agreement with the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) for maintenance and development of the Workflow system. The contract will be performed over a period of four years and it is worth nearly PLN 20 million net.

The Workflow system is a layer that integrates the domain systems used by KRUS, including their insurance and benefits management systems, as well as document management and archiving system. Automation of business processes and the use of SOA architecture have enabled the consolidation and optimization of access to the resources of KRUS. This solution allows, among others, for comprehensive and centralized management of user identity as well as for exchanging data with external institutions.

“Asseco Poland is a reliable and trusted partner for institutions engaged in the agricultural sector. Our software solutions are successfully used by the Agricultural Property Agency, Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture and its Romanian counterpart. Our know-how in the fields of software development and project implementation as well as industry-related competence are the key values that we contribute to contracts executed for the agricultural sector institutions,” says Paweł Piwowar, Vice President of Asseco Poland.

Asseco Poland created the Workflow system for KRUS as a winner of the international tendering procedure conducted in 2009. It was a very complex project that was financed from the World Bank funds. Subsequently, Asseco integrated the IT systems used by KRUS so that they could be operated as a central system, uniform across the whole country. Nowadays, the Workflow system built by Asseco is used by several thousand of KRUS employees who serve nearly 2 million farmers.

In 2010, Asseco won the international competitive tender for the supply of an archiving system to KRUS. The Archive system provides access to consistent information through a uniform mechanism for recording and archiving of documents.
