It is fully independent. It provides clients with access to the secondary market on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (regulated market, Catalyst, NewConnect, GlobalConnect) and the primary market involving shares, bonds, certificates, ETFs and other derivatives.

Dom Maklerski BDM employs more than 100 people, has equity of about PLN 45 million and generates revenues of about PLN 30 million a year.

Challenge

Need for a modern and scalable investment platform

Dom Maklerski BDM faced the challenge of finding an advanced investment platform that would meet the growing expectations of customers, as well as the dynamically changing market. A key requirement was to provide a secure, modern and convenient platform, available in web and mobile versions, which would enable the handling of orders and transactions in the current scope and the possibility of adding services in the future, including access to foreign markets. At the same time, the brokerage had to guarantee a high level of cyber security, ensuring that client assets were protected from digital threats.

The client needed a solution that was not only secure, but also scalable and adaptable to the changing scale of the business. It was also important to eliminate technology debt, which would allow more efficient management of the system and quick adaptation to new market trends. The platform was to be flexible and easy to expand, enabling the expansion of the service portfolio in response to emerging investor needs and market changes. In addition, preparing for the upcoming launch of the new WATS system at the WSE presented another challenge, requiring the adaptation and update of the IT infrastructure.

Solution

Modern investment platform PROMAK NEXT for Dom Maklerski BDM

Dom Maklerski BDM has decided to implement solutions from Asseco - the central Platform for Brokerage Office Operation PROMAK NEXT, and the Investor Platform consisting of the ePROMAK NEXT web-based system and the mPROMAK NEXT mobile application. The project, in its first and broadest stage, was completed within 12 months of signing the contract, with actual implementation time of 9 months. During this period, the installation and configuration of the systems, data migration along with the replacement of database technology and full functional testing were carried out. In addition, information packages were prepared for the brokerage’s clients, enabling them to quickly familiarize themselves with the new capabilities.

The goal of the implementation was to provide universal support for investment accounts via remote channels - both web and mobile. The modern PROMAK NEXT platform offers an intuitive interface, easy expansion and integration with other solutions thanks to the API. Scalable architecture ensures adequate bandwidth and performance, adapted to the changing scale of office operations. The system also guarantees a high level of digital resilience, protecting client assets from potential threats. In addition, it has been prepared for the launch of the new WATS system on the WSE.

The centerpiece of the implementation was the PROMAK NEXT system, which enables comprehensive operation of the brokerage office. The system includes management of investment accounts, handling of exchange orders, clearing and settlement of transactions, and interfaces to external systems. PROMAK NEXT allowed automated handling of brokerage office customers, effective integration with online platforms and simplification of system administration.

The project also included the implementation of the web version of the ePROMAK NEXT system and the mPROMAK NEXT mobile application. ePROMAK NEXT is a modern stock market investor service system, available in a web browser. It enables intuitive order placement, real-time quotation viewing, account status overview, transaction history and asset valuation. It also provides access to information services and enables activation of additional services, meeting the needs of both experienced and novice investors.

Meanwhile, mPROMAK NEXT is a mobile stock market investor service system, available on Android and iOS devices. Thanks to it, investors can use the complete offer of Dom Maklerski BDM services, having access to the investment account from anywhere in the world. The application allows placing buy and sell orders, viewing real-time quotes, reviewing account status and transaction history, as well as valuing assets according to current stock exchange rates. Built-in information services, alerts and notifications further support investors in making accurate decisions.

As a result of the implementation, Dom Maklerski BDM has significantly raised the standard of service for its customers, offering them modern investment tools. From the moment the systems are launched, investors can take full advantage of the advanced capabilities of the ePROMAK NEXT and mPROMAK NEXT platforms, which is a breakthrough in the quality of services provided and contributes to increased customer satisfaction.
