Asseco Poland has signed an agreement with the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) for operational support and maintenance of their Comprehensive Information System. The contract worth PLN 595.8 million gross will be implemented over a period of 4 years.According to the agreement, Asseco will provide maintenance services on software applications and IT management tools. ZUS will also benefit from the support of IT management processes and management of its corporate IT architecture. In addition, Asseco will act as an integrator of the Comprehensive Information System used by ZUS.Furthermore, the agreement provides for maintenance services, including handling of any incidents and elimination of any malfunctions of the Comprehensive Information System, as well as additional services resulting from the development of ZUS’s Comprehensive Information System that shall be performed under separate assignments.

Mazovia Development Agency has signed agreements with companies forming a consortium that will carry out the project of Internet for Mazovia. The project is worth PLN 458 million (gross).The leader of the consortium is KT Corporation, a Korean telecom operator. Furthermore, the consortium comprises the companies of Daewoo International Corporation, Asseco Poland, Warszawskie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Telekomunikacyjnych, Biatel Telekomunikacja, BIT, and KBTO. The broadband network, including 3.7 thousand kilometers of fibre-optic cables, will be constructed in the model of public-private partnership till the end of October 2015.Asseco Poland is responsible for the installation of active networking equipment as well as for the implementation of software to support such devices. The company will also provide maintenance services for the supplied infrastructure over a period of five years. In addition, Asseco Poland will deliver, install and configure the Network Passporting System. The work assigned to Asseco is worth nearly PLN 60 million (gross).

Subcarpathian Province aims to provide its population with the most advanced technologies to ensure remote access to medical services. Software solutions to be implemented under the project will also enable more rational management of resources available to Subcarpathian hospitals.The project will be executed by Asseco in partnership with eight provincial hospitals. They will be equipped with computer hardware, network infrastructure, as well as diagnostic and radiological equipment. In addition, they will benefit from the implementation of Asseco’s comprehensive IT suite called the Asseco Medical Management Solutions (AMMS).An integral part of the project is the Regional Medical Information Center which will be constructed entirely (hardware plus software) by Asseco Poland. Using the company’s proprietary solutions, doctors and patients will gain access to information and medical services in real time. It will be possible to check the availability of specialists in health centers online as well as to register for a visit over the Internet. The system will ensure access to patient medical records, enable ordering of medical procedures among hospitals according to their availability, as well as provide information on the availability of beds or health specialists at hospitals, which is so important for emergency medical services.Along with the platform supporting online supervision through instant access to financial, medical and property reports, all of the above-mentioned e-services will form a countrywide unique solution –
no other province has so far implemented such a comprehensive range of electronic services in healthcare.

Asseco’s Cracow-based IT center has been moved from an old house at Podwale St. to a modern office building at Wielicka St. It is a workplace for 130 software developers, who implement projects for companies in the telecommunications, banking and insurance sectors.“Among us are co-developers of one of the most advanced mobile operator billing systems, co-authors of e-commerce portals for two of the three leading mobile operators, developers of low-level SMS/MMS processing platforms that support the largest media events in Poland,” says Radosław Semkło, Director of the Telecommunications and Media Division at Asseco Poland.The new location of Asseco in Cracow is a modern class A office building, equipped with soundproof windows, air conditioning, and a parking lot. Our project teams work in rooms of several people. In addition, this location offers a set of video and teleconferencing rooms, allowing for the efficient organization of meetings with people from other offices.“We have intentionally resigned from an open-space approach, because our experience shows that comfortable working conditions positively affect the creativity and productivity. Thanks to our excellent network infrastructure it is also possible to work securely on a remote basis,” emphasizes Radosław Semkło.The Cracow branch of Asseco’s Telecommunications and Media Division employs nearly 100 engineers, including analysts, architects, software developers and administrators. Most of them have many years of experience in developing Business Support Systems for telecom operators and media companies. By the end of the year they will be joined by colleagues working in a different location of Asseco, Zabierzów near Cracow, who are specialized in the field of Business Intelligence.Asseco continually recruits people to IT-related occupations. We need software developers: programmers, architects, testers and designers (especially those specialized in C++, WebMethods, and PeopleSoft technologies) but this is not all. Asseco Poland has signed a 3-year framework agreement with Orange Poland. As a partner, Asseco will be responsible for the area of BBS (Business Support Systems) as well as for outsourcing of the fixed-line telephony billing system.IT providers have been chosen by Orange Poland as part of its continued global Vendors Consolidation program, which involves improvement, consolidation and standardization of applications management across the Orange Group. The goals of Vendors Consolidation are to optimize costs, shorten the time for delivery of business solutions, as well as to ensure better quality. The tendering procedure resulted in selecting four key partners. Asseco Poland, being one of them, gained an opportunity for broader cooperation with Orange Poland, enabling the optimization of service delivery models.
