The Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and Asseco Poland S.A. signed an addendum (to their maintenance services contract) worth over PLN 17 million (gross). The contract subject is maintenance and modification of OFSA, OFSA-PROW, OFSA-PROW-DD and RG-PROW information systems over the period from 1 July 2012 till 28 February 2013.The systems covered by the contract are all proprietary solutions developed by Asseco for the Agency. They have been designed to support the distribution of funds granted by the Agency under the Rural Development Program for the years 2007-2013. They have been developed in line with the procedures governing the handling of subsidy applications, especially with regard to all applicable formal, legal and EU requirements.IT solutions developed, implemented, and maintained by Asseco make it possible to handle subsidy applications and payment applications, generate suitable agreements and addenda, settle payments, verify the beneficiary's data in adequate registers, as well as to perform the so-called cross-controls (under the Rural Development Program and other government subsidy programs). They are utilized by both central and regional offices of the Agency as well as by local administration in provinces. The Agency is currently performing a tender procedure for maintenance and development of those IT systems.

On 27 June 2012, Asseco Poland S.A. signed an agreement to acquire a 60 percent stake in SKG S.A. The transaction value amounts to PLN 8.7 million.SKG S.A. (formerly Systemy Komputerowe - Główka S.A.) has been engaged in IT operations for 26 years. The company is specialized in design and implementation of dedicated information systems and consulting on innovative technologies. It has also gained broad experience in the areas of taxes and customs duties, retail trade, auditing and data analysis. IT solutions delivered by SKG S.A. support the operations of several hundred firms and institutions, including: Polish Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, Supreme Chamber of Control, Warsaw Stock Exchange, PGNiG, Polkomtel, and LOT Polish Airlines.“Gaining such a significant investor as Asseco Poland will certainly strengthen our position on the public procurements market, as well as in the areas supported by our IT solutions, including customs duties and taxes, retail trade, auditing and data analysis. We believe that our partnership with Asseco will provide us with opportunities to execute much larger projects than we performed so far. Concurrently, as SKG S.A. remains a separate company, we want to uphold and cherish the values that enabled 26 years of our successful business operations as a family company on quite a difficult Polish IT market,” said Jarosław Główka, President of the Management Board of SKG S.A.“Owing to this transaction, the Asseco Group enriched its product portfolio with innovative, flexible, high quality solutions developed by SKG S.A. which shall reinforce our offering especially in the sectors of public administration and enterprises. Consideration for the acquired shares shall be paid in three portions. The first portion, representing 80 percent of the acquisition price, has been already paid upon signature of the agreement; whereas, the remaining portions are payable in the next 2 years and shall depend on the financial results generated by SKG S.A. for 2012 and 2013.

Asseco Poland has launched its new Core Banking System at Bank Ochrony Środowiska. The main modules of the def3000 suite – Transaction System and General Ledger – were set into operation on 11 June 2012. The company managed to complete the implementation process in line with the schedule, despite the project’s large scale and numerous regulatory changes pertaining to the functionality of banking systems.The contract for the supply and implementation of a comprehensive information system based on Asseco Poland's def3000 proprietary solution was signed on 15 October 2009. Asseco launched def3000/TR (Treasury) module in November 2010 (3 months before the planned deadline), and subsequently def3000/CL (Clearing) module in September 2011 (9 months ahead of the schedule). The transaction data migration process was successfully completed on 10 June, enabling the operational launch of major banking systems: def3000/CB (Core Banking) and def3000/GL (General Ledger).“Efficient work of the project implementation teams, both on the part of the Bank and Asseco, as well as full commitment of both contractors resulted in a success. I believe that BOŚ, having joined the group of banks which operate Asseco’s def3000 flagship solution, is going to achieve the anticipated business benefits. Owing to them, the implementation process has been carried out efficiently and on a timely basis,” commented Adam Góral, President of Asseco Poland.The project also involved the supply of hardware platform, integration services, and adjustment of the Bank’s internal IT systems to ensure their seamless cooperation with the new core solution.“The launch of the Core Banking System was one of our priority strategic objectives. Reduced time-to-market for new banking products as well as higher efficiency of customer service and back-office processes should both strengthen our Bank’s competitive position in the market,” said Mariusz Klimczak, President of Bank Ochrony Środowiska.Integration of the central system with the Bank’s legacy applications will make it possible to expand the portfolio of services offered by BOŚ, quickly and cost-effectively. It will also help shorten the time for execution of customer orders and improve the flexibility of transaction parameterization to mach individual customer needs.Asseco Poland has cooperated with Bank Ochrony Środowiska since 1994. The company acts as a strategic vendor of IT solutions, inclusive of its core banking system. BOŚ utilizes over a dozen miscellaneous applications developed by Asseco.The def3000 suite is a flagship solution offered by Asseco to banking institutions. It features several dozen specialized modules that can be easily integrated into a bank’s legacy IT environment, allowing for flexible adaptation of the solution to meet the bank’s specific requirements. def3000/CB has been already implemented, among others, for Getin Noble Bank, Toyota Bank Poland, Eurobank, Deutsche Bank PBC, while individual modules of the suite are operated by dozens of banks across Poland.

On 15 June 2012, the Centre for Healthcare Information Systems (CSIOZ) signed an agreement with the consortium of Asseco Poland and Kamsoft for the third stage of the construction of the Electronic Platform for Gathering, Analysis and Distribution of Digital Data on Medical Procedures (P1).
The contract involves the development of a system to gather medical data, handle registers, verify and support healthcare settlements, as well as the provision of an auxiliary database of extensive medical data. The contract is worth nearly PLN 160 million (gross).
The P1 project has been conceptualized and prepared by the Centre for Healthcare Information Systems primarily because of the need to adapt the functioning of information systems used in the Polish healthcare sector to the requirements imposed on the EU member states with respect to the development of European information society.
The project key objective is to construct an electronic platform of public healthcare services that would enable public administration bodies and citizens to collect, analyze and provide access to digital resources on medical procedures, in compliance with the Act of 28 April 2011 on the healthcare information system. The P1 system will gather information on all medical procedures performed for Polish citizens, regardless of the payer, as well as for citizens of the European Union and other countries, who are provided with healthcare services in the territory of Poland.
The P1 project is intended to expand the availability of patients’ health condition information and medical data, as well as to improve the quality of patient service by enabling performance of any e services related to medical procedures.
The total project cost exceeds PLN 712 million, of which 85 percent shall be financed from the European Regional Development Fund.

Asseco Poland S.A. is implementing the SAP system for JSC Chimpharm, member of Polpharma Group seated in Kazakhstan. JSC Chimpharm company operates under the brand name of Santo and has a 50% share in the drug production market in Kazakhstan.The SAP solution will help JSC Chimpharm support its mission-critical business processes. Under this project the solution will be also adjusted to meet the standards applicable in the pharmaceutical industry and followed by Polpharma Group. The project completion is expected by the end of 2012.“We chose to cooperate with Asseco for several reasons. First of all, Polpharma has a very positive experience in implementing other projects with Asseco, where it demonstrated professional know-how, competence and project management skills that local contractors are not able to ensure. Contrary to what one might think, the anticipated project execution costs also justified the choice of Asseco as a partner,” said Marek Skrzypczak, Financial Director of JSC Chimpharm.The project involves re-implementation of SAP modules in the areas of Finance, Controlling, Inventory Management, Sales and Distribution. An important task will also be to implement the SAP solution in Production activities.“It is absolutely crucial that business processes at Polpharma’s new foreign operations are managed and supported by information technology in line with the standards applied across Polpharma Group, and therefore we chose an IT provider with a proven track record,” commented Adam Dembicki, IT Director of Polpharma Group.“We are extremely satisfied that Polpharma Group decided to enter into cooperation with our team of experienced consultants. In May 2012, Asseco Poland was certified as the Partner Center of Expertise, which confirms its high level of competence necessary to meet SAP’s highly demanding standards for the provision maintenance and support services. Furthermore, Asseco Poland S.A. is the first Polish partner of SAP that has been granted accreditation under the SAP’s global Active Quality Management program. Such accreditation confirms the quality of sales and implementation processes applied by Asseco Poland S.A. By participating in the Active Quality Management program, Partners are able to increase the level of customer satisfaction, improve their own business achievements, and provide superior quality services.

On 1 June 2012, Asseco Poland S.A. concluded a contract worth PLN 18.8 million (gross) with the Marshal's Office of Lublin. The agreement provides for the supply of hardware and software under the execution of “Wrota Lubelszczyzny” (“Gate to the Lublin Region”) project.
Asseco Poland is going to implement software to support management of electronic documents, electronic inbox, on-line payments system as well as for keeping an electronic archive. Furthermore, Asseco will supply and set into operation routers, servers and other equipment necessary to launch electronic services for population by the local government offices, which acceded to the “Gate to the Lublin Region” program. The contractual term to implement the project is 18 months.The “Gate to the Lublin Region” program is co-financed in 85 percent from the EU funds available under the Regional Operational Program of Lublin Province for the years 2007–2013, and it has been implemented since 2010.This is not the first project executed by Asseco Poland in favour of local administration, where the company leverages on its vast competence within broadband network construction, IT infrastructure, as well as development and implementation of software. Presently, Asseco also performs other significant projects, including implementation of the Silesian Public Services Card, and construction of network infrastructure for the Regional Medical Information System in Łódź Province.
