The difficult flow of information, the lack of access to patient data and visits calendar - these are frequent problems faced by medical networks cooperating with partner institutions. The new platform, created in cooperation between Medicover Polska and Asseco Poland, will ensure the automation of booking and confirming visits to cooperating institutions and the settlement of fees for medical services, also available online.

The new solution will introduce a number of facilitations in the process of providing health care services. Ultimately, the networks which will benefit from the solution will also be able to manage electronic medical records through it. This will translate into faster diagnosis and the access to data and improved quality of patient care.

The first phase of the project is planned to be completed by the end of 2019 and the second phase by mid 2020. The solution will also be continuously extended with new functionalities in order to address the challenges faced by the health sector in the best possible way, while setting new standards in the medical care market.

The new solution enables the exchange of information and electronic documents, including data necessary to verify membership in the social security system, grant and pay international benefits: pensions, allowances and compensation, as well as recover unpaid contributions and overpaid benefits in other European Union countries.

Asseco signed the agreement for the modification of the Comprehensive Information System (KSI ZUS) and its adaptation to the electronic exchange of information and documents in 2017. The value of the project amounts to over PLN 20 million gross.

Under the agreement, Asseco will maintain and develop, among others, the key elements of the Agency's Information System (SIA), supporting the statutory tasks of ARMA in the area of direct payments, the Rural Development Program, the Identification and Registration of Animals, and submission of applications for area payments via the Internet. Winning this tender means that after a 3-year break Asseco will again provide services for SIA, one of the most important information systems in the country.

Asseco has been building, maintaining and developing the SIA system for over a dozen years - in the years 2015-2016 we initiated, among other things, significant technological and architectural changes that it then underwent. I am convinced that our extensive knowledge of the system and our previous experience guarantee the highest quality of services provided, said Arkadiusz Wójcik, Director of the Social Insurance Division at Asseco Poland.

Apart from Asseco, DXC Technology and Comarch have submitted their offers in the proceeding, however, Asseco has proved to be the most advantageous bidder.
