The first project concerned the adaptation of the system to the amended pension reform. The efficient implementation of the changes in the system allowed for timely payment of benefits to both existing and new beneficiaries. In the last quarter alone, over 424,000 applications for retirement pensions were submitted to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) due to the amendment of the act, which resulted in 395,000 decisions issued, out of which 313,000 were related to the payment of benefits. In this busy period, more than 37% of pension cases (i. e. over 140,000) were handled with the use of modern automation solutions, including Asseco ATA Studio. This allowed for significant support of ZUS employees in the timely execution of tasks entrusted to them. In addition, under the Maintenance Agreement, a process of continuous monitoring of services was carried out, enabling the performance of a number of analyses necessary for proper evaluation of the project implementation.Asseco has also implemented the necessary modifications of KSI and, as an Integrator, has prepared the implementation under the e-Contribution project, aimed at introducing simplifications for business owners in terms of paying contributions to ZUS. From January 1, 2018, they can make all payments with a single transfer to a dedicated account number, without division into individual funds. The new method of making payments also eliminates the need for an additional description of transfers, thanks to which business owners are not obliged to indicate their identification data, the type of payment or the period the fee relates to. The method of settling payments on payers' accounts has also significantly changed - arrears are now covered first.
During a recent press conference, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy Elżbieta Rafalska pointed to the smooth and timely implementation of the projects. She emphasized that although the changes introduced in the system may have seemed to be simple, it was a demanding undertaking.

Asseco has played a significant role in this process also as an Integrator. Thanks to Asseco's comprehensive knowledge of the system and business needs of the Client, it has ensured the security of the implementation of the changes, which have been effectively integrated with the production system in use, without threats to the continuity of its operation.
The effective implementation of the changes by ZUS, which were connected with lowering the retirement age and the e-Contribution project, meant first of all major IT challenges. In combination with enormous time pressure, they were a test for the competence and experience of the Asseco team. I am pleased that our support has contributed to the success of the whole project, said Janusz Woźniak, Deputy Director of the System Maintenance Division at Asseco Poland.

The KSI ZUS system is the largest IT system in Poland, supporting 25 million people. Every day, 40,000 ZUS employees use the solution. The system is supplied annually with approximately 900 million documents and 55 million payments, and settles more than 360 billion zlotys in the accounts of insured persons and payers.

The TradeApp system allows brokerage houses to quickly access current market information and order management. This results in efficient and fast communication with the market and smooth execution of transactions. The new solution, thanks to the exchange participants' ability to choose a way of accessing the UTP trading system through a dedicated application or a global web network, enables the use of all functionalities at any time.

Asseco has been developing software for capital market participants for years, but this is the first cooperation with the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It is a great distinction for us, but also a valuable experience. The exchange is an institution which has its own specificity, which should be taken into account when implementing the project - first of all, there are extremely high requirements in the field of IT security of applied solutions. In addition, we have had to face time pressure related to the entry into force of the MIFID II directive. The successful implementation of the project proves that even during the period of significant regulatory changes, we are able to successfully implement modern IT solutions and build added value for the market participants, said Artur Trunowicz, Director of the Capital Market Division of Asseco Poland.
We consider the new system to be modern and efficient - it meets the requirements of the applicable EU directive MIFID II and equals the offer made available to customers by modern global stock exchanges, such as the London Stock Exchange. Since the beginning of 2018, the WSE customers have gained access to current market information as well as the management of orders and brokerage house risk level. The TradeApp system proves that the Warsaw Stock Exchange - the leader in the region of Central and Eastern Europe - strives for technological excellence, said Dariusz Kułakowski, Member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The system was launched on the first trading day of 2018. For the next 3 years Asseco Poland will be also responsible for the system's maintenance.

The new investment of the Ministry of National Defense is part of the plan to modernize the Polish army in the area of command and intelligence support systems. Under the agreement, Asseco Poland will provide software and hardware as well as conduct necessary training courses for employees of the Military Geographic Centre, which is responsible for the collection and processing of terrain information, development of digital and paper maps and surveying work, among others. The implementation of the new system will ensure that the Polish army units have access to up-to-date and accurate information about the geographical area in which the military operations will be carried out. Ultimately, Geoserwer 2 is to ensure effective work for nearly 500 of its users. The expected implementation is scheduled for the last quarter of 2018.

The Geoserwer 2 procedure was the only large tender for an IT system settled by the Armament Inspectorate this year. This is a great distinction for us and a confirmation of Asseco's competence as a provider of advanced IT solutions for the uniformed services. It is also worth noting that Asseco is the only Polish company with a ready-made imaging analysis system (SAO) capable of working with Geoserwer 2, said Zdzisław Wiater, Director of the Military Area at Asseco Poland.

Asseco Poland is a provider of solutions for the Polish uniformed services, the NATO institutions and agencies (JFTC, JWC, JALLC, ACT, NSPA, IMS, NCIA) as well as the EU institutions (FRONTEX, ESA and EDA). The company meets the highest standards of data protection and secret information flow. It is the first and only Polish software producer to join an elite group of companies, which have organizational units with a prestigious CMMI-3 certificate, thanks to which it can successfully compete not only in Poland, but also in international markets.

The use of information technology in healthcare institutions is becoming a standard. The huge amount of data and the need for comprehensive patient service make increasingly more hospitals and clinics use advanced IT systems. This means that in order to fully educate a health care professional, medical universities need to equip graduates with new skills.

I am convinced that our actions will be appreciated by students as well as management of hospitals, all the more so because the ongoing digitalization of healthcare services requires specific competencies in the area of efficient use of IT tools, said President of SUM Professor Przemysław Jałowiecki, MD, Ph.D.

The establishment of cooperation with Asseco Poland is another step forward in SUM's attempts to make training of medical professions more practical. In 2012, the university introduced to its curriculum a medical simulation which uses advanced patient phantoms.

Thanks to the software provided by Asseco, we will be able to make a computer simulation of the full patient service process - from the moment of a patient's admission to the hospital department, through the execution of all possible medical procedures that require recording in the IT system, along with building the history of a patient, laboratory tests and electronic prescriptions - to the discharge. Thanks to this, students will leave our university not only with comprehensive knowledge of how to help patients, but also with practical skills of handling IT tools, which they are very likely to come across in their future workplace," added Vice President for Studies and Students at SUM Professor Joanna Lewin-Kowalik, MD, Ph.D..
For several years Asseco has been engaged in the development and education of future medical personnel. Students have the opportunity to participate in training courses conducted by our experts, among others. The project we are going to implement together with the Medical University of Silesia is the first, in which Asseco will make its AMMS software available for training of future doctors. In our opinion, it will also be an excellent form of using modern IT solutions to increase the potential of both parties in the didactic area, as well as in science and research in the future, said Krzysztof Groyecki, Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.

Asseco is the largest provider of software for medical units in Poland. AMMS is a comprehensive, integrated IT system supporting the operations of medium and large medical facilities, mainly hospitals, clinics, outpatient clinics, as well as a network of facilities. Asseco's solutions are used by more than 420 hospitals and 9,000 clinics.

Asseco will occupy as many as three floors with a total area of over 3,000 sqm. The office building, which will house the Bydgoszcz branch of the company, is the first such investment in the city. It offers modern systems of water and energy management and CO2 reduction, as well as two independent power supply sources and a generator. It is also located in a very good transport point, which ensures proximity to the railway station and the airport, as well as public transport. The transfer to the new premises is planned for the first quarter of 2018. The change of location will apply to all employees of the Bydgoszcz branch, including the teams providing services for the energy and banking sectors.

The new office will certainly improve our employees' comfort at work. The building will offer them a medical centre, a bicycle parking lot with a cloakroom, a restaurant and a café. Chillout zones will also be prepared in the space belonging to Asseco. The rooms have been designed in a cabinet type. We are hoping that thanks to these facilities, our employees will work more conveniently. We are currently finishing work on the arrangement and division of space in the new office, said Jacek Tomkiewicz, Director of the Administration Department, Asseco Poland.
Due to the international nature of ongoing projects for the energy sector, we constantly need access to specialists. We are looking primarily for programmers, also those with knowledge of web technologies, designers, analysts, testers and service specialists. The new headquarters will make it easier for us to reach that goal, said Bożena Knitter, Director of Production Department at the Energy and Gas Division, Asseco Poland.

Bydgoszcz is one of the key centers of Asseco. The company has hired over 170 employees in the city. This is where the flagship product for the energy sector, namely Asseco Utility Management Solutions (Asseco AUMS), is created and developed. The Bydgoszcz team is also involved in the work on the largest project ever carried out by a Polish IT company in Africa. It cooperates with the Ethiopian governmental agency - the Information Network Security Agency (INSA). The company has already provided and launched a comprehensive IT system for reading-data management based on the Asseco AUMS solution. It also provides advisory services, including the ones related to the development of ERP-class software, as well as the exchange of information technology knowledge that enables the construction of a modern energy market in Ethiopia.
