This success is best reflected by the companies recognized in this year’s edition of the ‘Polish Firm – International Champion’ contest. They’re present on every continent and represent different industries, from the agricultural and food industry, cosmetics, chemical materials, through to the oil industry and the services industry. Innovation is on the up and is certainly one of the elements common to all the winners this year. There are a lot of Polish brands which are recognized and praised abroad – this is fantastic, and we need more of those. In the minds of the consumers Polish products and services have to be a synonym for the highest quality.

The Polish Firm – International Champion contest promotes Polish companies being proactive and engaging in global markets. Companies investing in foreign markets transform themselves in global entities, successfully compete in those markets, and help build the ‘Poland’ brand at the international level.

This change allows more flexible plans to be offered and provides greater automation of customer service processes. This is consistent with Orange’s strategy which aims, among others, at maintaining a wide sale offer and services of the highest quality.Implementation took place between March 2014 and October 2016. Implementation of billing cycles has accelerated the process of clearing and invoice preparation for customers.Karol Maroszek, Head of Projects Implementation at the Telecommunications and Media Division, Asseco Poland: We carried out an operation on the clearing system which forms the basis of Provider’s revenues. Asseco carried it out without disruptions to the functioning of Orange and with no negative effects for the end customer. This project was successful thanks to very good cooperation and understanding on Orange’s side.

The Podkarpacie Healthcare Information System (PHIS), developed in partnership with Asseco, is a modern web portal for gathering, analyzing, and sharing information regarding healthcare services that were provided or are scheduled for provision. In other words, patients can use it to find information online about the scope and availability of services provided at a doctors’ practice or at a hospital. They can also schedule an appointment with a chosen practitioner, as well as keep track of all registrations, which gives them real-time information regarding the number of patients scheduling an appointment with a particular practitioner. The platform enables the registered healthcare facilities to exchange information electronically. This ensures that all patient data will be accessible across all facilities within the PHIS in the Podkarpacie Province.How does it work?
In order to use the PHIS simply visit the platform’s website (https://psim.podkarpackie.pl/), and register in just a few steps. You will only need an active e-mail account and a mobile phone number. After registration is done you’ll have to confirm your data during a visit to a healthcare facility.Even without an active account, the system provides a simple and transparent list of services and healthcare facilities. You can find a specific hospital, get its contact details, information on its specialization, as well as all services provided there, its list of practitioners of a chosen specialization, and free appointment times for the provision of a particular service.You can also set up an account for a minor. This means parents can easily arrange an appointment for their children, and cancel it if need be. They can also keep up to date with all the scheduled appointments. Most importantly, providing your mobile phone number during registration means you will receive a free text message reminding you about the scheduled appointment a few days in advance.

Asseco received an award for the best product using Angular in the Enterprise category. Asseco Customer Banking Platform, Asseco’s proprietary solution, won the prize at the ngPoland Angular Conference 2016 . The conference, held in Warsaw on November 22, brought together experts from around the world.

Together with CEO of PESA S.A Tomasz Żaboklicki and Karol Zarajczyk – President of the Board of Ursus S.A. – Góral talked about the ways to open the doors to foreign markets for Polish manufacturers, as well as how Polish government can co-operate with businesses to secure foreign contracts for Polish entrepreneurs.In his speech Góral also encouraged paying taxes in Poland and thanked all the participants for coming to the Podkarpacie province, which – thanks to its hard work, patience and the ability to utilize EU funds – has taken advantage of the 27 years of economic freedom.This was the first edition of Kongres 590 and it was visited by more than two thousand guests. The conference took its name from the barcode prefix which is used to mark goods produced or distributed by Polish companies.
