Functionality
The functionality of Bank Assurance covers all processes involved in the offering and management of insurance products by a bank:
Pricing of insurance premiums
After-sales servicing of insurance policies
Handling of settlements between the bank and cooperating insurance companies
System of business reports
Reporting to the Financial Supervision Authority
Key features
Unification of the sales process. The system allows for the unification of distributed banking and insurance processes by providing a common source of data on customers, direct access to information about banking products related to insurance, a common system for managing the bank’s organizational structure, as well as a uniform mechanism for setting up user permissions. |
Process organization. The solution supports the entire process of selling insurance products through the bank’s distribution network, starting from the pricing of insurance products, through the provision of after-sales services, execution of settlements between the bank and cooperating insurers, till the preparation of business reports and mandatory reporting to the Financial Supervision Authority. |
Security. User access to the application is controlled with the help of encrypted passwords that are stored in the database. The application resources can be accessed depending on individual user permissions, in accordance with their system roles. The assigned roles allow users to run specific modules of the application. In addition, every role is allocated to a certain level within the hierarchy of the bank’s organizational structure. This means each user has a limited access to the data presented in generated reports. The exchange of data between the bank and external systems of cooperating financial institutions is implemented using the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol. |
Reporting. Data on the concluded insurance contracts that are transmitted to the financial supervision institutions include updated information on persons acting as insurance intermediaries, details of third-party liability policies, as well as the customer’s consent to the processing of personal data sent to insurance companies as required by regulatory authorities. |
