Asseco Poland was the only Polish software vendor, which received an award for its proprietary solution for the financial sector - Asseco ABP. During the gala the company was represented by Marcin Kwilosz, Product Manager and Marta Mróz-Sipiora, Product Manager from the Commercial Banks Division.

Asseco ABP has been developed with a view to streamline work in bank branches. Thanks to the omni-channel architecture, advisors can support customers regardless of whether the process was initiated by the customer via internet banking, mobile banking, a contact centre or a branch. This saves time and optimizes banking processes. In my opinion, the award is a confirmation of the effectiveness of our solution and a recommendation for banks which want to take an active part in the digital transformation of the financial sector, said Marcin Kwilosz.

The conference was opened with a speech by Adam Góral, President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland, in which he emphasized the Asseco Group's strong position in the banking sector.

Today, the Asseco Group is strong in many countries with its products. This proves that a Polish company can meet the requirements of customers, despite the competition from richer, more developed economies. Our banking team is unique in terms of knowledge and experience. It is a result of what we have been building in recent years - a strong position in Europe, he said.

The panel discussion was preceded by a presentation by Michael Harding of Oliver Wyman, an international consulting firm, who spoke about what factors need to be taken into account in order to create a new bank and how its business models can be changed.

Technology triggers changes and makes suppliers create products that meet customer expectations. It is important to be able to anticipate the needs that customers may have in the future, said Michael Harding.

The first debate - "New channels. New products. Should a bank sell pizza?" - was attended by Piotr Czarnecki, President of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank Polska; Adam Marciniak, Vice-President of the Management Board of PKO Bank Polski; Zbigniew Pomianek, Vice-President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland; Feliks Szyszkowiak, Vice-President of the Management Board of Santander Bank Polska and Mariusz Wójcik, Member of the Management Board, AXA Życie TU, AXA TUiR.

, said Zbigniew Pomianek.

, said Adam Marciniak.

In turn, Tomasz Buczak, Head of Asseco Innovation Hub at Asseco Poland, spoke about how technology can help banks with keeping up with customers' expectations and coming up with right personalized offer in the right time.

According to Kantar TNS, 74% of customers trust banks, trust that their money is safe. 'A bank as fast as you' is one that can understand the customer's needs and offer the right products for the client, he added.

The second expert panel focused on the question "Will new business models solve the problem of margins and loyalty of bank customers and how can technology help in this?". The debate was attended by: Tomasz Dymowski, Head of Retail Banking Department, Raiffeisen Bank Polska; Tomasz Motyl, banking sector expert; Dariusz Paczewski, Director of Digital Innovations Office, Santander Bank Polska; Aleksandra Sroka-Krzyżak, Head of Strategy and Projects, PKO Bank Polski and Jarosław Bryl, Director of Business Intelligence Division, Asseco Poland.
The world finds artificial intelligence fascinating, so maybe it is enough to recognize the customer's needs and adjust the offer and almost automatically deliver it? Then margins will be good and costs will fall, said Jarosław Bryl.

, said Aleksandra Sroka-Krzyżak.

, said Tomasz Motyl.

"How will artificial intelligence affect our future?", Wojciech Sobieraj, visionary and experienced manager on the banking sector, tried to answer this question during his presentation.

Artificial intelligence is artificial. It is wise when it can learn. The more data, the more benefits we will have. The more people use Google Maps, for example, the more precise the data and information, he said.

At the end of the forum the participants could also learn more about the implementation of the trust services platform in Santander Bank Polska and the factoring services platform operating in Bank Pekao. These solutions were presented by Marek Kleczewski, Senior Innovation Designer, Santander Bank Polska and Piotr Karwiński, Director of Transaction Banking Department at Pekao.

We try to be the first choice bank for our clients, we want to be perceived as a local bank, but associated with modernity. We were looking for solutions in many areas that could be upgraded. One of them was the transfer of the processes using paper and the client's own signature into the electronic sphere, said Marek Kleczewski.

The factoring services platform is a solution that opens a bank to new customers. Thanks to the use of Asseco's systems we have created a unique solution on the market, said Piotr Karwiński.
