Asseco Poland ranked 3rd. among the winners of the grand prize in the "Enterprises" category in the competition "The Best Annual Report" organized by the Institute of Accounting and Taxation. The jury evaluated the various elements of the annual report for 2023, and the award is a confirmation of the highest utility value of Asseco's reports.

At Asseco, we are committed to high quality communication with the capital market community, and periodic reporting is one of its key elements. The periodic reporting obligation is regulated by law, but the way listed companies implement it has a significant impact on building trust and relations with the market. The transparent structure of the reports, the fair presentation of the financial and business situation, and the transparent communication of corporate governance principles are elements that are particularly appreciated by the recipients of our reports. We are pleased that our efforts have been recognized by the jury of ‘The Best Annual Report’ competition, said Rafał Obodziński, Director of Reporting Department, Asseco Poland, who received the award on behalf of the company.

This is yet another honor received by Asseco Poland in "The Best Annual Report" competition. Last year, the Accounting and Tax Institute awarded Asseco the best corporate governance statement among private companies.

"The Best Annual Report" is a competition for the best annual report in terms of value for shareholders and investors. Its main goal is to shape good practices in reporting by public companies, which enhances the security of the capital market in Poland.

"The Best Annual Report" awards are given to companies in the regulated market that prepare consolidated annual reports according to IFRS/IAS and companies in the alternative market that report according to IFRS/IAS or the Accounting Act. The results of this year's competition were announced at the final gala, which took place on October 10, 2024 in the Quotation Room of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) building.

Asseco is the only Polish company recognized in the "World's Most Trustworthy Companies" ranking in the "Software & Telecommunications" category. The compilation was prepared by Newsweek magazine in cooperation with the global research firm Statista. The ranking recognizes companies that have earned the trust of customers, investors and employees by, among other things, producing high-quality products and services, a team of effective leaders and responsible HR activities.

The ranking included 1,000 companies from 20 countries and 23 industries. It was based on a survey with more than 70,000 participants. A total of 11 Polish companies were included in the list, representing the banking or retail sectors, among others. Asseco rose to 27th place in this year's ranking in the Software & Telecommunications category.

Asseco is the only Polish company to be included in the IDC FinTech Rankings Enterprise Top 50. The ranking includes the largest technology companies providing solutions for the financial services and fintech sectors. The Asseco Group's sales to this sector in 2023 exceeded PLN 5.7 billion, accounting for more than 30 percent of its overall revenues.

IDC has been creating the IDC FinTech rankings for more than two decades, presenting a list of the world's best and largest fintechs, said Marc DeCastro, research director at IDC. The companies on the list provide the innovation necessary to keep financial services at the forefront of solutions that provide customers with modern, digital experiences in all aspects of their financial journey, he added.

Asseco is a provider of, among other things, central banking systems and omnichannel and mobile solutions that respond to the latest trends in the global financial market. The company is a leading IT provider to the banking sector in Poland and operates in many European countries, as well as in Israel and the African market. Its core banking solutions are already used by several hundred banks around the world.

The Asseco Group also cooperates with large international insurance companies. Sapiens International, the Group's competence center for insurance, is a leading global provider of software for this sector. In addition, Asseco offers comprehensive IT solutions to support the operations of brokerage houses and offices, investment funds, leasing and factoring companies.

In H1 2024, the Asseco Group generated PLN 8.4 billion (EUR 1.9 billion) in revenues, of which more than PLN 6.6 billion (EUR 1.5 billion) were sales of its proprietary IT products and services. Operating profit was 4% higher than in the comparable period of 2023, at PLN 824 million (EUR 191 million), and net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company, after a 2% increase, amounted to PLN 235 million (EUR 55 million). The Group continued its stable growth and gradually built its order backlog for the coming months.

During the reported period, the Group developed its operations both in Poland and abroad. Revenues in the Asseco Poland segment increased by 2% and amounted to PLN 992 million (EUR 230 million), mainly thanks to growing sales in the area of solutions for finance and solutions for public institutions.

The Group's performance is highly diversified, with 88% of sales coming from foreign markets represented by the Formula Systems and Asseco International segments. Sales of the Asseco International segment amounted to PLN 1.96 billion (EUR 454 million), which – excluding the effect of exchange rate differences – represents an increase of 8% compared to H1 2023. The segment saw increased sales in the payments area of the Asseco South Eastern Europe Group. Revenues of ERP solutions in the Asseco Enterprise Solutions Group also increased. The Formula Systems segment, in turn, recorded revenues of PLN 5.47 billion (EUR 1.27 billion) – excluding the effect of exchange rate differences, this represents a 6% increase versus the corresponding period in the previous year. Good results, in reporting currencies, were reported by Matrix IT and Sapiens International.

Asseco's consolidated order backlog for 2024, in the area of proprietary software and services, is now worth PLN 12.4 billion (EUR 2.9 billion). In constant exchange rates, in which the backlog for 2023 was calculated, it is 7% higher than in the same period last year.

This is a very good half-year period for Asseco. Our geographic, product and sector diversification of business and strong demand for digital solutions allow us to grow steadily. Excluding the effect of exchange rate fluctuations, our revenues grew by 6% and operating profit by 11% during this period. In addition, we are gradually building the backlog, which allows us to look ahead to the second half of 2024 with optimism. We are consistently implementing our M&A strategy. Since the beginning of 2024, 7 companies have joined the Group (3 in the first half of the year and 4 in the third quarter of 2024), operating in the markets of Israel, the US, Portugal, as well as India and the United Arab Emirates, among others – said Karolina Rzońca-Bajorek, Vice President, CFO of Asseco Poland.
